New Year Intention Setting Sound Bath at Location 1980 · Costa Mesa
Delve into mindfulness practices, journaling and a meditative sound bath to access the deepest parts of your psyche and resurface with insights to guide your intentions for the year ahead.
The event will begin with a guided meditation and journal prompt to begin the process of self inquiry around your intentions. You will then journey through soothing yet provocative sounds to drop into deeper states of consciousness and spark connections to your intuition and innate wisdom. At the end, time will be taken to continue your reflective writing with insights from the sound bath, followed by a ritual to seal your intentions and commit to their realization.
Experience this event surrounded by original work from local artists in the gallery at Location 1980, a creative collaborative space in Costa Mesa.

Art Studio Sound Bath · Costa Mesa
Experience a Sound Bath in a working artist’s studio surrounded by beautiful paintings and murals. The artist Gabrielle B. McLean creates large-scale fine art and custom commissions in a variety of mediums. This vibrant eclectic space also hosts a reptile/amphibian rescue which you may observe before or after the sound bath.

Sound Meditation Teacher Training
Discover the art & science of using sound for meditation, relaxation & wellness. Learn how to use the power of vibration & frequency to bring peace & harmony to yourself & your community. In this training you will learn:

Sound Meditation is an excellent complement to other holistic wellness modalities such as yoga, massage, energy work, and ceremonies. Learn this modality to enrich your personal practice or share it with your community in public events and private sessions. Instruments will be provided for hands-on practice, but you are welcome to bring your own. No prior experience or musical ability required!
Participants will be fully certified to teach Sound Meditation and receive a certificate upon completion of this course. This training is Yoga Alliance accredited. Yoga Alliance Registered Teachers (RYTs) can receive 12 Contact Hours toward their Continuing Education (CE) requirement. Led by Christian Reid RYT500/YACEP. Open to everyone!

About Christian:
Christian has been teaching Sound Meditation since 2016 when he was certified as a Sound Meditation Instructor by Giselle Abadie. Since then, he has led sound baths, workshops, retreats, and lectures at yoga studios, yoga teacher trainings, for corporate wellness, mental health and drug treatment programs, and private sessions. Christian developed and led Orange County's first Sound Meditation Teacher Training in 2018 and has led 4 trainings since then with over 50 graduates.

Donation Based Sound Bath in Costa Mesa
Sometimes referred to as sound healing or sound therapy, this practice is used to reduce stress, calm and clear the mind, and deeply massage the body with vibration. Allow soothing sounds to carry you away on a journey within, kindling creativity, emotional awareness, and relaxation while unwinding in a comfortable position. Feel the sound pulsating inside the body as vibration massages tissues at the cellular level, calming the nervous system and ushering in deeper levels of consciousness. Reset the brain using special frequencies that induce meditation without needing to focus or train the mind.
